-How do I pay for services? At present we prefer to be paid by cheque , made out to Progress Web Design. Although we have verified PayPal membership as well. -Who owns the website after it has been paid for?The client owns all of the content created for them. This includes documentation, programming code and all graphics. You are free to use these in other areas of your business like letters and business cards. -How can I monitor the building of my website? We will normally put the site up in a temporary web space for you during the development phase. This allows you to watch it being built, and should allow for any changes to be made in a flexible manner. -How do I maintain the website after it has been created? For a small fee we will update the text of the website whenever you want. If you envisage the site needing updated on a very regularly basis, we will install a content management system for you. This allows you to type in any new content into a web form and update the site yourself. -How much does a website cost?Although we have 3 main packages, we remain flexible about costs for clients who don't have needs which easily fall into any of our packages. For example, if you want your current website optimized for search engines, we will do that on an hourly rate of £30/hour, and include all work done on our invoice. -Do I need to make an advance payment?Normally we require an initial deposit of around 20% total cost of the site. This ensures we are not left out of pocket in the event that you decide not to complete the site. -Do I get a receipt upon payment for services?Yes, we send an invoice followed by a receipt. The invoice clearly states what services have been purchased. For example the cost of registering a domain name is around £15 for 2 years. -Will my website have a high search engine ranking? If you pick the Progress Plus Pack, then we will optimise your web page for search engine ranking. This in itself will not guarantee a high placement in search engine results. However, it will form an excellent basis for doing so. One of the key methods Google uses for deciding how high a page rank to give a website is by assessing how many websites link to your website. We are happy to promote your website on your behalf by asking websites with high rankings to link to your website. |
